After spending 18 years as a reporter and editor at several Texas newspapers, Kevin McPherson changed careers and is currently a high school English teacher in McKinney, Texas.

Kevin was an award-winning newspaper reporter and editor.  His stints included the Texarkana Gazette, Paris News, Greenville Herald Banner, Richardson News and The Dallas Morning News.
He also serves as official statistician for high school and college football and basketball for both radio and television, including the Texas State Network, ESPN, Fox Sports Southwest and numerous other regional TV production companies.

Last year’s 2006 Edition’s girl’s featured cover story on Goodrich High School’s Adrian McGowen was written by Kevin.  Ms. McGowen set the national high school career scoring record and now plays at Texas A&M.  His other Tex Preps Basketball Magazine feature articles include legendary Canyon High School girls coach Joe Lombard.

Kevin spends his free time exploring Texas cuisine and high school football stadiums.  He and his wife, Pam, have two teenage daughters.

Mark McKee was our obvious choice to interview legendary Clear Lake High Coach Bill Krueger and compile our Top Players list for the 2007 Edition.

As the former head basketball coach at Richardson Pearce High School in the Dallas area, Mark has 24 years coaching experience.  Now starting his 29th year in education, he is still at Pearce teaching government, but still finds time to coach his son’s AAU team.

Mark and his wife Reta have three children.  Sammy is 18 years old and their twin daughters, Lindsey and Kelly, are 13.  As you might imagine, most of Mark’s spare time is spent chasing his kids around to their various sporting events.
